Since 2015, Elephant Ed has been transforming the way consent, respectful relationships and sexuality education is taught across Australia. Elephant Ed send youthful, relatable and highly trained facilitators to deliver interactive, informative and engaging workshops to schools, universities and community groups. But they aren’t just ordinary workshops…they’re designed and delivered for young people, by young people.
Our evidence-based, age-appropriate workshops are tried and tested across all relevant age groups and are mapped to State and National curriculum guidelines. Every year, we empower hundreds of thousands of young people to make informed, positive and safe decisions about consent, relationships and growing up.
After all, sex education is more than just condoms on bananas.

Content
We don't shy away from tough topics - we tackle them head-on. Our content responds to relevant matters and challenges facing young people. We embrace all people, no matter their sexuality, gender or background.
Delivery
We deliver workshops in an informal and interactive manner. We steer clear of lecture-style presentations and encourage dialogue through facilitating conversation and engaging in thought-provoking and fun activities.

Our Workshops
students
Our student workshops are designed to run for 60-90 minutes for group sizes of up to 35 students. Our workshops provide a stimulating and informal environment, challenging students through creative and relevant activities.
parents
Our parent seminars take parents along the journey with their children. We introduce parents to pressing matters facing young people, equipping them with take-home strategies to start open conversations at home.
teachers
Our PDs provide teachers with valuable insight into current matters facing students. The seminar equips teachers with the skills and knowledge to implement a whole-school approach to sex education, fostering a more positive school environment.
Universities
Our university workshops refresh and build on our school curriculum. We work extensively with residential colleges, international students and student unions to create more positive, inclusive and safer campus environments.

Elephant Ed workshops are designed to run for 60-90 minutes, but can be altered to fit into a school’s set lesson times. For more information, feel free to get in touch.

Our workshops are designed for group sizes of up to 35 students. While we are flexible, our feedback and experience suggests smaller group sizes promote greater conversation and allow for a more comfortable environment. We have a large team of facilitators who are able to deliver workshops to multiple groups at the same time.

An ideal format for the workshop is an informal environment that promotes discussion. We recommend moving classroom tables to the side. We can also facilitate in other informal spaces, such as halls and theatres. We do require a whiteboard and a screen to show media.

Our facilitators are highly trained in both our workshop content and facilitation, having delivered workshops to thousands of young people. They are charismatic, relatable and sensitive, allowing them to build a strong rapport and connection with our participants in a short period of time.
Our facilitators undergo rigorous and ongoing professional development and training. All of them are required to meet and undergo training in Elephant Ed's Child Protection Policy and undergo formal mental health training from internationally recognised mental health professionals. Each facilitator holds a valid Working With Children Check.

Our curriculum and workshops have been created in consultation with experts in sexual health, mental health, education and youth work, including La Trobe University. We regularly consult this group to ensure our programs meet the highest standards and are respectful of a wide range of sensitivities. In addition, all Elephant Ed workshops are mapped to relevant State and National curriculum guidelines.
Elephant Ed has been endorsed by the eSafety Commissioner as a Trusted eSafety Provider, demonstrating our capability, experience and evidence-based online safety content. These providers are part of a collaborative community of practice, sharing the latest research and best practice approaches to online safety education.
Elephant Ed is also available as a quality-assured program in the NSW Department of Education’s Student Wellbeing external programs catalogue in the themes of Behaviour, Resilience and Sense of belonging.

We work with many denominational schools and organisations. Our workshops are flexible and can be tailored to suit individual needs - we work closely with you to ensure our workshops are well-aligned to your school's beliefs and values.

We have teams based in Melbourne and Sydney, but we also frequently travel interstate to run workshops.
